Get half your online shop paid for

The Trading Online Voucher from your Local Enterprise Office can pay 50% of the cost of selling or taking bookings online, up to €2,500. I build the free demo first, so you apply knowing exactly what you are getting.

What the voucher covers

The voucher covers half the eligible cost of getting your business selling online, up to €2,500. That means an online shop, card payments, a booking system or similar features, not a brochure site that only shows information.

Each Local Enterprise Office runs its own rounds, and approval depends on funding in that round. Check the current terms with your Local Enterprise Office before you apply.

What it could cost you

On an online shop from from €1,800, ex VAT, the voucher could cover half of the eligible costs, leaving about €900 for you to pay. Bigger builds save more, up to the €2,500 cap.

You pay my invoice in full and claim the voucher back from your LEO, so plan for the full amount up front. Your accountant can tell you how VAT applies to your claim.

Who qualifies

The voucher is for small businesses that are new to selling online. These are the main conditions LEO pages list, and your LEO decides:

  • A small business

10 or fewer employees and a turnover under €2 million.

  • Trading for six months

The business has been trading for at least six months when you apply.

  • In the LEO's area

You apply to the Local Enterprise Office for the county your business is based in.

  • Little or no online sales yet

The scheme is for businesses taking their first real steps in selling or booking online.

How it works with a free demo

You see your new site before any paid work, which is exactly the order the scheme needs. Nothing is paid until your voucher is approved.

  1. Get your free demo

I build a working preview of your new site first. It costs nothing, so it is not part of your claim and nothing is paid before approval.

  2. Attend the LEO information session

Every LEO asks applicants to attend a short information session or webinar before applying.

  3. Apply with my written quote

I give you a written quote for the online selling or booking features, which is what the application needs.

  4. Wait for the letter of offer

No paid work starts until your LEO approves the voucher. Work paid for before approval is not eligible.

  5. I build, you pay, you claim

I finish and launch the site, you pay my invoice, and you claim the voucher back from your LEO with the paid invoice.

Questions people ask

How much is the Trading Online Voucher?

Local Enterprise Office pages put it at up to €2,500, or 50% of eligible costs, whichever is lower. Check the current figure with your own LEO before you apply, because each office runs its own rounds.

Can I use it for a brochure website?

No. A site that only shows information is not eligible. The voucher is for selling or taking bookings online: an online shop, payments, a booking system or similar.

Can work start before I am approved?

Not paid work. Anything paid for before your letter of offer is not eligible, which is why the free demo comes first: you see the site, apply with my quote, and I start the paid build once you are approved.

Is approval guaranteed?

No. Approval depends on your LEO's assessment and on funding being available in that round. If you are not approved, you can still go ahead at the normal price or walk away owing nothing.

Can I apply more than once?

Previous recipients can apply again, but not before the final claim on the first voucher has been submitted. Your LEO can tell you where you stand.
