B2B and wholesale e-commerce in Ireland: a trade shop your customers log in to

I build trade and wholesale shops for Irish businesses that sell to other businesses, as well as or instead of the public. Your trade customers log in, see their own prices and order on the terms you have agreed with them.

What's included

  • Company accounts, so each business logs in once for the whole team
  • Price lists per customer or customer group
  • Volume pricing
  • Minimum order quantities
  • Pay-on-invoice terms
  • A custom B2B portal where Shopify cannot do what you need

What a trade shop does that a normal shop does not

A trade shop shows each business customer its own prices and terms once they log in, instead of one public price for everyone. It replaces the emailed price lists, the phoned-in orders and the re-keying that wholesale usually runs on.

The trade shop, on Shopify

The trade shop starts from €3,500, ex VAT, and is built on Shopify. It includes company accounts, price lists, volume pricing, minimum order quantities and pay-on-invoice terms.

Shopify has B2B features built in, so for most trade businesses it is the fastest and cheapest route. Shopify's own plan fee is separate, and I check which plan your features need before you commit.

When a custom portal makes sense

A custom B2B portal starts from €8,000, ex VAT. It is for pricing or ordering rules Shopify cannot handle, and I tell you honestly if your needs do not justify the extra cost.

A fictional trade shop you can log in to, to see tiered prices, minimum orders and invoice terms in action.

Try the demo store

What you just tried

The demo store shows what a trade customer actually meets: their own prices, volume breaks, minimum orders, VAT worked out for where the goods go, and invoice terms. A real build, on Shopify's B2B features or as a custom portal, swaps the demo's shortcuts for the real thing.

  • Real company accounts

Each business logs in with its own buyers and delivery addresses, instead of a one-click demo login.

  • Price lists you manage

Group prices, contract prices and volume breaks you change in the admin, kept on the server rather than in one browser.

  • Real VAT number checks

VAT numbers checked against the EU's VIES service, with reverse charge and the One Stop Shop set up with your accountant.

  • Terms and invoices

Net 30 or your own terms for trade, card checkout for everyone else, and invoices issued and tracked rather than mocked.

  • Quotes and draft orders

Requests your team can adjust and send back, so a big order does not have to fit a fixed price list.

  • Stock and accounts connected

Orders that reach your warehouse and your accounts package without anyone typing them in twice.

Which of these you need, and whether Shopify covers them or a custom portal is worth it, decides the cost. I'll quote for your setup.

What it costs

A trade shop on Shopify starts from €3,500 and a custom B2B portal from €8,000, both ex VAT. I quote after hearing how you price and who you sell to.

How the free demo works here

Tell me how you sell to trade customers and I build a free demo of your trade shop with sample products and a sample price list. You pay nothing to see it, and you decide once it is in front of you.

  1. Tell me how you sell

Who your trade customers are, how you price them and what terms you offer.

  2. I build your demo

A working trade shop with a login, a sample price list and an order flow you can try on your phone.

  3. You decide

If it fits, I build the real thing. If not, you owe nothing.

Free, with nothing to sign. I reply within one working day.

Questions people ask

Does the trade shop have to be on Shopify?

The trade shop is built on Shopify, from €3,500. If your pricing or ordering rules go beyond what Shopify can do, a custom portal, from €8,000, is the alternative.

What does pay-on-invoice mean?

Trade customers order now and pay you later by invoice, on terms you set, such as payment within a number of days. The shop records the order and the terms, so you are not chasing details by email.

Can I run retail and trade from the same site?

Yes. The public sees your normal prices, and logged-in trade customers see their own price list, minimum orders and terms.

How are trade prices set?

You set a price list per customer or customer group, and add volume pricing where it applies. I set the structure up and show you how to change it.

When would I need a custom portal?

When you have ordering or pricing rules a standard shop cannot handle, such as unusual approval steps. I tell you honestly if Shopify will do the job, because it is cheaper to run.
